Would my husband be able to be on my orders if he only has one year left in his contract and doesn’t re-enlist?

My husband and I aren’t currently stationed together, and are trying to get stationed together (already in MACP and I know that’s no guarantee) but he doesn’t want to re enlist, and I do. Would it not be possible to get orders with him in them so we can move together when he has so little time left?

They will not allow him to move until his tour ends. You can then add him as your dependent and schedule him to join you. Thank you for your service.

Your husband will be placed on assignment and he can reenlist for the amount of time to PCS or sign a Declination statement.
