Would you actually quit serving (not re-up, resign your commission, etc.) if your POTUS candidate of choice is not elected president?

Absolutely not. Have served under 5 and have not agreed with all of them, but I don't serve the President.

I'm definitely not saying you should quit, but all officers serve at the pleasure of the commander-in-chief, and we are duty bound to follow his orders whether we agree or not even though it's not technically a part of our oath.

Yeah right, like the idiots that say they will move to another Country. LMAO
However if you feel that strongly....GOOD RIDDENCE.

MAJ Bell; Anti-theocracy, not anti-theist. I could care less what you believe at home. Its only when you try to give your faith and its rules the force of law that I have a problem with it.
SFC Kain, you are clearly not interested in discussion. I answered the original post's question, and I answered yours as well. To whether or not I will abandon my career if Trump is elected, that is not a yes or no question. You don't seem capable of understanding that.
I didn't vote for Bush 43, but I was still served under him. If Trump is elected, I will serve, until I morally cannot continue to do so, and I gave two examples of what such conditions might look like.
Since you are obviously a Trump-fanatic not interested in honest discussion of the topic I welcome you to my block list. You will find lots of religious zealots, racists, bigots, white supremacists, and Trump-apologizers there.
Have a nice life.

I was definitely not suggesting anyone should do this, but you do hear people talking about leaving the country if so-and-so is/is not elected. I just wanted to see how my fellow service members felt.

Obviously, this is a hypothetical issue for me. (Look at the photo) In all honesty, I would continue to serve until issued an illegal order.
