I for one would love to acquire some RP gear to sport. I wouldn't mind a RP cap myself. I could see a RP bag or patch. Would anyone else like to see this or add anything else that you would like to purchase with RP branded on it.

Just so you know I am sporting my RP gear while deployed. I had my Sammy They Saluting 2LT but he got lost, imagine that.

They have a rally point store now, see Elizabeth Malkin 's post. It would be cool to have t-shirts in service colors with the rally point logo on them.

CPT (Join to see) , that's a great idea, thanks for the suggestion! A lot of the different tshirts have multiple colour choices when they are clicked into but I don't think that we have all the right service colours represented. Thanks for the suggestion!

Maybe some proceeds could go to a deserving/helping hand fund for a veteran in need.

Hey...The Chive has a store and they are nowhere near as cool as us! I would be down for some swag. May help find other members on post, deployed, etc as well.

I think a RallyPoint store would be an awesome addition to this site. Items could be purchased and would provide advertising for the site. I also like COL (Join to see) s idea of linking it to influence points. We could have the best of both worlds by giving members the option of paying for items with dollars or influence points.... or maybe even AAFES Pogs (are those still used, I still have a zip lock bag full of them, probably 10 or 20 dollars worth! LOL!)

Nah, not purchasing by spending influence points...restricting levels of gear for different levels of influence. Like a carnie game at the fair. At the 20K level, you can purchase (with real money) a Rallypoint ball pen and an assortment of RP key fobs. At 50K, you can get this coaster set and a tube-top. At 100K, you move into better and better items, all of which can be purchased with real money...but you have to be engaged in the community in order to purchase them...hence linking it to tiered points.

SPC Nicholas Zeigler Not understanding why you want to see people's points knocked down. Because some have more influence points that you does not make your comments any less influencing. When you've been here as long and have opportunity to comment as many do, your influence points will also climb. When you say something of influence, look at it for what its worth, how many vote you up, how many comment on what you say, not points. If RP did away with the points system, it would not matter to me (I'm sure it would to some, and that's fine). Your time will come!
