Stolen valor meme
Operation Seek and Expose.
250 days until Veterans Day.
Proposed Intent: vets go out carefully and accurately identify Military Posers (aka Stolen Valor) in order to non-violently confront and expose them.

Last vets day me and my buddy where made angry by fakers exploiting the charity of others.

Me and a local guy I look up too will go about town to where free meals are offered. However, we will pay and being curious and naive civilians will walk up and as respectful questions. Thank people for their service. When we find a faker will document the interaction and out the faker by repeating their dumb comments back to them out loud. If we catch someone will also report them to the restaurant manager and police.

We will cure this sin through ridicule.

I don't really get spun up about stolen valor. I find it more amusing to look at the pictures and see how jacked up people can be. Plus, I've never been in a situation where I had to confront someone about this issue. If I was in a situation maybe it'd be different. I have other issues to worry about than some douchebag running around in a service uniform getting a free meal. I'm a firm believer that people reap what they sow.

Guess I have my fucking priorities wrong.

But the benefit is free food is the perfect bait and an excuse for them to wear obviously out of regulation uniforms since they don't have CACs nor DD 214s. They often opt for uniform since most wait staff will accept it instead of an id. Trick is if you go hunting don't wear military stuff and thank everyone for the service. Another added benefitva room full of vets and people who just paid full price, plus employees not getting a tip from faker.

I have no problem taking on this mission but, frankly, I will expose a military poser "anytime, anywhere" . . .

I want to inspire a nonviolent but brutal ridicule of posers on that day. Veterans Day is the best focal point to focus people on a problem.

Last year I meet some people who acting like asses while getting free food. Me and another vet got them out of the restaurant before they could further embarrass the military. They had got their free meals and drank their share of the bar but refused to pay. To keep them out of trouble, I paid for their drinks and got them a cab. I so focused on helping a fellow vet out that I was paying attention to some facts until they were gone.

After they left inconsistencies started poping into my head. They said they were station at Fort Hood but one had a drivers license from the area. They could give me the name of the battle buddy, even though they were standing next to each other. They clearly didn't know what I meant. Their bearing was way off; even shit bags have some military bearing now and then. They kept calling the recruiter (E6 in uniform) that helped me Sir. The puzzled look they gave me when I said you don't want to get on the blotter.

Worst of all last night I was checking out Don Shipley's stuff on my phone when I ended up on some random site, with one the guys picture on it as a faker. I recieved a call and when came back I couldn't find the picture again. I am burning because I picked up their tab when I was short on income.

NO MORE! I miss the days of John Wayne and the 80s when you could punch a guy, so ridicule it is. If I can I will make them infamous.
