Would you purchase your own duece-and-a-half? If so, how would you use it? It looks fun. I know an NCO who just paid $6000 for so he "can have a toy." His neighborhood association won't let him park it in his driveway or in front of his or anyone else's yard.

They are a great platform for building a "go anywhere" RV CH (MAJ) William Beaver . If I bought one, I would leave it as is, and just set up a tent in the bed rather than actually building anything, but it would be an excellent conversation starter.

CH (MAJ) William Beaver, maybe not a 2 1/2, but I wouldnt mind owning a HMMWV or maybe an old jeep. There is a guy in a town over from mine that has a 2 1/2, and he takes it to a local park and lets kids and grownups check it out.

The only one I saw actually being "used" is owned by a guy outside Las Vegas. He loads up the back with beer and ice and powers up to the top of a rather high hill beloved by dirt bikers. The 6x is the only thing that can make it. Once there, he sells ice cold beer to the bikers at a hefty profit. My understanding is that he payed for the Duce+.5 in a couple years.
