One of the best thing about FT Campbell is Nashvegas. Also being station there you might be able to go Air Assault as a fill in.

Yeah that highway drive to nash is beautiful and if you take HW 13 through down town clarksville and follow it out you can see loretta lynns place. I am not sure if the hunting and fishing area near gate 10 is still around but if it is you should go check it out.

It's a good base to start off at. It was my first duty station in 1992 with 5th SFG(A). I know it's grown quite a bit since I left but I'm sure there's still a lot of good stuff there. Nashville is only about 45 minutes away too.

Yeah Ssgt the 5th was still there in 06, but the base is huge. I did enjoy Eagle Week and Cav week had a blast too going to gate 10 area and getting set up with that camp site we spent a week there camping out. I have not been back to Big C since 07 but I bet it is still awesome.

Yes with us CAV folks we don't need a glass or canteen - a boot or a Stetson works just fine.

Love this place. Close to Nashville, Chattanooga. Great drive down to Pigeon Forge. It is a small post with a great PX and Commissary. I have been here for 14 years
