Before the communication stopped, he said he was still on an assignment, which I'm not sure what kind. How long can they be and are cell phones prohibited or just lack of time and service?

"My Soldier"? Are you a Squad Leader or Team Leader who has misplaced their Soldier? How does that happen?

Cannot tell you the number of calls I fielded from mom and dad trying to get in contact with their military "child" while working as a Desk Sergeant overseas. Time gets away from you before realizing holy crap it's been 6 months since I last contacted my parents. I'm sure it can be troubling on the other end when it is their child's first assignment.

Lol I bet. So when I call will they tell me if he's deployed or anything? I don't need to speak with him, just need to know where is he to at least know why he isn't responding to anyone.

Syd Washington If it was during the day we would call their unit, at night to a certain point we would drive by their barracks and attempt to contact the military member. If we made contact we would tell them to burn their "morale call" and call home.
Most of the calls actually came through civilian phone operators trying to assist the parents. Their best guess was to contact our Law Enforcement Desk then patch the parents through to us. We couldn't release any information, but would cross reference the name on a list we had and go from there.

Did peivided you are Familyvand can prove it you simply contact the unit they are assigned to. If you are unaware of the unit contact you congressman’s office and they will find out for you. If you are not family, and cannot prove you are then you may have a tough time based on privacy requirements.

Yea that's what I know even though I know his information. I don't want to contact because if he's away I don't want to cause a mess, like him getting chewed out because of interruption from work.

If you are concerned for his health can you not contact his Family? As an employee of a Service member you are authorized to know that he is on duty somewhere. Since he can not communicate, apparently I would I fact reach out to he military. We appreciate employers who support their employees so I am sure they will at least let you know he is on orders.
