How can I be competitive to become an LDO or CWO? What advice do you have?

Hello all, I am a newly promoted YN2 in the Navy Reserves. I am very interested in going LDO if possible or CWO when I have enough time in. I am working towards a doctorate degree in public administration and have a masters in the same discipline. How can I be competitive and what advice do you all have? Thank you so much.

First go to MyNavyHR and get all the application requirements. The big three that I am aware of are you need to be E-6, have enough time in rate to qualify and have your commander's endorsement. the other question is there LDO/CWO in Public Administration in the Navy?

Silly question: if you have a Master's Degree (working on a Ph.D.), why not apply for Direct Commission?
