This'll make some of you happy. Are you handling classified documents? Do you worry that you might get caught mishandling some? Even inadvertently? No sweat! Just tell 'em you voted for the Roomba wandering the White House. Double points if you promise to vote for him again. Lifetime Get Out of Jail Free Card if you stuff ballot boxes in your spare time. And no, there is no equivalency with President Trump. He was President when he removed documents (which ordinarily gives him the right to declassify documents. Explicitly or implicitly. Makes no difference.) Joe was only a member of Congress and then Vice President. No such right there but, Hey! Joe needs no excuse.

Biden's was accidental, his lawyers cooperated with investigators and documents were returned.
Trump's allegedly was intentional, his lawyers used multiple unrelated arguments (i.e. declassified, were all accounted for, etc.) and documents required FBI intervention to get into National Archives.

Accidental? Really? Once maybe is an accident. But this wasn't just once. There were documents taken while he served in Congress and others when he was Vice President. But hey, whatever helps you cope with your poor decisions. You're entitled.

One tier for people who take documents, refuse to give them back when requested, lie about having them, and hide them from investigators executing a search warrant and another for people who take documents, alert the government when they're found, and fully cooperate with the government to ensure that they're secured and properly returned?
