Currently deployed and on a temporary profile. I was authorized by the PA to take an alternate event (the walk) so I took the APFT passed with the alternate event, sent my PT card to my home unit. Now here’s the problem, they put a zero for my APFT score on my PPW. I’m trying to go to the promotion board out here but my team leader is telling me I can’t. Anyone have any insight or regs they can point me too?

When you boot up the PPW webpage, it tells you that its an unofficial document that may not be all up to date. I have reasonable suspicion that it pulls from your ERB, so if you sent your PT card back, and your ERB hasn't been updated to reflect that, then it wont be on your PPW yet. If your team leader would pull his head out, he would come up with the solution of "submit board packet and attach MFR with PT card stating above reasoning".

You're not supposed to conduct an APFT while on temp profile. Only time it is authorized is if you are perm profile.

Absolutely false. New profile system came out a few years ago. It includes within the profile EXACTLY what you can and cannot do. That includes APFT events, as well as alternate events (or lack thereof). Some would argue that this new system is completey abuse-able if someone has the "hook up" with their provider or CoC. Cant pass your sit-ups? Head over to Doc and have him cut you a profile for a suspected hernia... no sit-ups but push-ups and run are a go. Knock out a record APFT and conduct height and weight and you are solid till the next record APFT.

Not sure why you had to send your PT card back to the rear since your organization should have someone that’s deployed with you who has the capability to make updates. Your S3 is now responsible for updating your APFT through DTMS. Without that being done, it won’t update. As of January 2019, S1 no longer have the capability to update the APFT. You can find out who has DTMS access (usually S3) from your platoon sergeant or 1SG. I hope this helps.

Roger SFC, thank you for your input. We didn’t deploy as a whole company. It’s just me and a two person team, we’re TACON to the unit out here and ADCON to our home unit
