Military Spouse Appreciation Day is a day set aside to honor and recognize the contributions and sacrifices made by the spouses of service members in the United States Armed Forces. It is observed on the Friday before Mother's Day every year, and it provides an opportunity for people to show their gratitude and support for the men and women who serve as the backbone of military families.
Military spouses are an essential part of the military community. They are the ones who provide emotional and practical support to their service member spouse, and they often have to manage the household and take care of their children while their spouse is deployed or away on training. Military spouses face a unique set of challenges, such as frequent moves, long periods of separation from their loved ones, and the need to adapt quickly to new environments and cultures.
Despite these challenges, military spouses are known for their resilience and their ability to persevere in the face of adversity. They are the unsung heroes who keep the home fires burning, and they play a critical role in the success of the military mission. Without the support and dedication of military spouses, many service members would not be able to fulfill their duties to the best of their ability.
There are many ways to show appreciation for military spouses, such as sending a card, sending a care package, or simply saying thank you.
One of the best ways to show appreciation for military spouses is to support organizations that provide resources and assistance to military families. These organizations offer a variety of services, such as counseling, education, employment assistance, and financial support. By supporting these organizations, you can help make a difference in the lives of military spouses and their families.
Do you know of a great organization that supports military spouses? I would love to hear about it in the comments.

I've seen it on every Marine Base. Both sides suffer. Wives know. and suspect some kind of deployment when the fleet is in. They believe separation is inevitable
within 24hrs. Marines, onboard ship/plane sending a message of apology to spouse for leaving on such a sort notice. Much more to this that needs to be told.

That is everyday for me. Between Basic, AIT and my deployment, I was home 30 days in 2 years. My wife raised our 2 boys for 2 years by herself and kept the fires burning at home. Scott was 2 years old and Kevin was 3 months old when I left. She did a great job and has stuck with me for an additional 49 years
