Took care of ailing WWII veteran Dad for a bunch of years, a jey was taking him out in a wheelchair and drive through ice cream on errand trips. Miss those days.

I’ve read articles about how hard life can be on the caregivers, as they sacrifice so much of their own lives to take care of others. A hard job indeed.

when will the cold war veterans caregivers be able to collect a stipend? I haven't been able to work since May 2019 when my husband was diagnosed with stomach cancer. He served from active duty 1987-1996 & reserve duty 1996-2004. I've been told that since he only served 25 days overseas during 2004 he don't qualify.

We will need many more given the current U.S. military violations of legitimate Nuremberg Trial verdict prohibition against human experimentation-- especially conducted by foodstuffs by Monsanto Roundup and Mil Spec Rx Vaccine.......... https://secretingredientsmovie.com/

1SG Eddie Smith my Mom was a WAC in WWII. She has 2 Champaign ribbons both have Battle Stars. There was a requirement that the Vet had to be a combat Vet.

Sir, your Mothers service is highly commendable. But the reason I ask is because of the current eligibility requirements for the VA Family Caregiver program, which I whole heartily believe should cover ALL Veterans from all eras, however, the current program is for Veterans that separated military service after Sept. 10, 2001. Politicians make the law/policy, not the VA, U.S. Code Title 38. Veterans Benefits.

Sign up for the Military and Veteran Caregiver Network at:

https://rly.pt/CaregiverApplication

This program in the article is not VA, but may connect you to VA or other resources that can help.
