Please comment on the Trump phenomenon and the anti establishment movement. How is the message being received in DC?

Mitch McConnell - What are your views on the proper working relationship between the President, the Senate, and the House with respect to initiating, studying, and approving new funding and new legislation? How can your views prevail in an environment where current candidates appear to be committed to an "imperial" presidency where they act irrespective of Congressional sentiments? Warmest Regards, Sandy

Hello Senator. I have an issue that I'm hoping you might be able to help with or at least direct me. I served for 17 years in Active and Reaerve units and every 6 months I would check out my medical and 201 file to make copies of the items in it. I recently went to the VA to file for my benefits. It appears my medical file was sanitized somewhere between discharge and St. Louis archives. Over half my medical records are missing that document injuries and hospitalizations during my career. I presented my copies to the VA, but the won't accept them since they are not marked "Certified DA or DOD copies". So pretty much the documents I have are useless according to the VA. These documents validate my medical claims of the injuries incurred while serving. How would you suggest I resolve this issue so I can receive the benefits I'm entitled to after serving 17 years?

Why is the GOP allowing a loose cannon like Trump be the nominee? Aren't there useful requirements in the constitution for presidential candidates other than being an American? Yes the people want him there, but is it right? Is it right for the legacy and testimony of this great nation? People like him because he has the guts to say things they say in their homes and work all the time and then those that they wouldn't dare say. I suggest drawing up some fresh and common sense requirements and disqualifications for candidates to the presidency as GOP. Here are some recommendations:
1. Must be a gentlemen.
2. Must be self-controlled.
3. Must be well mannered and self-controlled.
4. Must not be a racist or have a slight resemblance of one.
5. Must not be a sexist.
Sorry those simple requirements wipe out Trump! So you get my point?

TSgt Hunter Logan - You asked: "Why is your disdain any more important or valid than theirs?" Exactly both of our views are as important. So they get to support Trump and I get to criticize him. That's constitutional and it's the American way, right? Yes, Cruz, Logan, Schwarzenegger; we're all Americans regardless of our heritage. But I guess Trump didn't get that memo.

Why is my voice important? If we pay attention to history 'the squeaky wheel get's the oil. Same reason there are gays in the military now and women get to be Infantry CO's and attend Ranger school. Not because we owed it to them, but because they made their voices heard.

Maj (Join to see) - Yeah but the GOP has too much to tweak. So maybe next time instead of all conservatives running for the same GOP slot they can run for different parties and give the people better choices for POTUS. Yeah, I understand how the electoral and popular vote systems work. Trump will likely have the advantage on the popular vote and Clinton the electoral. This may be one of those years as well.

CW4 Angel C. - It will always be a two party system. That's why Sen Sanders didn't run as an independent. Ross Perot did as he had the money himself, but he was just a spoiler and cost the Republicans the election. People may have better choices, but not better election outcomes if they are just spoilers for the big two. Even now one party is trying not to piss off Bernie. They don't want him to be a spoiler. The other party just welcomed his voters with open arms. Speaking of Bernie, I just RSVP his DC rally tomorrow. It is probably his last one. Most Bernie supporters I know are not running to the Dem's nominee and probably won't. There is vile hatred there.

Wow! I can't see Bernie supporters linking up with Trump. But I agree that the hatred is there within the Democratic party as in the GOP. I like Bernie a lot more than Clinton and Trump that's for sure.

Mitch McConnell - Our paramilitary intelligence agency officers increasingly live, work, fight, and die together with military personnel in country. Contractors are also increasingly being used to replace traditional military personnel to keep numbers of military personnel within congressionally authorized "military boots on the ground" ceilings. What can you do with the Senate and House to ensure paramilitary intelligence agency officers and contractors who are increasingly being used to replace traditional military personnel -- to ensure they and their families have access to appropriate specialist healthcare and other resources to recover from battlefield wounds and death in the field? Warmest Regards, Sandy

I would like you to keep the promise you gave to Soldiers on the GI bill. If you have already passed down those benefits to your children that should not be taken away.

Veterans educational benefits:
In state tuition, all veterans, regardless of state (or at least our disabled vets at 30% disability or greater)
Disabled veterans, extend benefit deadlines (versus current 10yrs)
Two education programs, one for veterans with time in service leading to percentage tuition paid and one for permanently disabled veterans (30% or over) with full tuition benefits.

Veterans medical (TriCare)
Tricare does not take advantage of value based care models to improve care and lower cost for our vets. For example, alternative payment models through CMS and value based agreements utilized in commercial insurance. Can we help this group take advantage of these models?
I am so disappointed in the VA medical that I cannot express myself. The care our most exposed vets receive there... Its criminal… Provide TriCare model for this group, allow choice and create accountability within the department.

Can you help drive change?

Why are you and your peers so dead set on laying down to Obama and letting the Democrats railroad this entire nation? Every single time he does something to further weaken our nation and divide it's people you and your brethren threaten him with a half-hearted response and then do nothing. Are all of you that weak minded and complacent, or are you keeping the status quo just because you guys make more money from kickbacks if you bark but don't bite?

Thank you for your time. My biggest two questions is why does the countries spending cuts come from the defense budget on basic life necessities before the entitlements of those that barely lift a finger to contribute to society. Secondly why do the armed services have such scrutiny on spending (which I agree to an extent) but other programs don't and easy billions? In addition, there needs to be term limits. Thank you Sir.
