Senator Cruz, first I applaud your identification of the issues facing national security in "American Resolve: Rebuilding America's Military." As you are aware, the Budget Control Act and the associated threats of sequestration are driving forces behind the cuts to the Army's end strength. How can we get a divided congress to come to an agreement on the budget in order to reverse this act? Second, what is the ideal size of the Army given the current and emerging threat to the nation? Finally, with the continuing threat of cyber-terrorism and state sponsored cyber attacks, what is your vision for the growth of our own Cyber Command and our nation's cyber defense capability?

As President will you remove the so called "political correctness" from our Chaplain Corps and allow them to represent their Religious Denomination that they were ordained to?

Absolutely. As president and Commander in Chief, I will vigorously defend the religious liberty of every one of our men and women in uniform.

Senator Cruz, will you reconsider admitting women into combat arms branches and/or units over the concerns of various leaders and some service branches, considering the mountain of evidence that it will a problematic undertaking with several negative unintended consequences and will not necessarily result in an increase in effectiveness and lethality?

The call for women to be subjected to selective service is the first step down a slippery slope of mandating women into combat units.

This would have the unintended, but dangerous, consequence of subjecting combat readiness to political correctness. I have therefore called for the Marine Corps request for an exemption to having women in combat units to be reviewed.

The POTUS, has a vast amount of multiple issues to attack daily. So thank you for considering mine... I believe the new military Retirement plan is a sensible plan for new vets & American tax payers. Would you consider adopting similar plans for Congress, Social Security, government employees, and other entitlement programs?

Senator Ted Cruz I think there's plenty of questions out there for you concerning the VA, and current state of the Military. So I'll stay away from those. Here is my question to you.

What are your plans for our nations farmers and ranchers? Crop prices are slowly dropping to the point that the small family farms (500 acres or less) are not able to survive and are being absorbed into the Corporation Farms. The costs assciatated with trying to farm are skyrocketing ie: equipment, seed, fertilizer etc, but the return is barely able to even it out unless you farm extensive amounts of land.

Great question! I've seen a few organizations that try and encourage veterans to get into farming, but I can't imagine how anyone can compete with Big Ag.

LTC (Join to see) Ma'am. I was born and raised in the Midwest (Iowa). My family has been farming for 3 generations. There is no competition. Just can't keep up and/or can't afford it.

Sen. Cruz,
My question for you is in regards to the deportation of Veterans who have faithfully served in the American Military. It is amazing (and deplorable) to me that while they are good enough to serve in our armed forces, even in combat; yet the government deports them after discharge. What will you do as President to stop the deportation of these Veterans?

Great question. If anyone deserves to be an American, it's the people who are willing to serve, fight, and bleed alongside us.

Sir, you co-sponsored 9679 / Special Victims Counsel Program Reforms, with Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.). These reforms ensure that the Special Victims Counsel programs is more effective and able to provide better representation to victims of sexual assault. Who represents those falsely accused? Current sexual assault training does not speak to the harm caused by approx. 1 in 4 cases which are later determined to be false reports, either by stressing the need for "true" reporting, or by prosecuting military members who falsely accuse fellow service members of an assault. Further, calling current policy "victims advocacy" and "victims counsel" essentially puts any accuser in the immediate position of being a protected class, even in those cases when the victim is the person accused of such a crime. What would be your plan to address this? vr/db

Exactly sir. As with the civilian world (especially on campuses) some want to turn the legal system on its head, with so-called victims being presumed victimized while the alleged perpetrators must prove their innocence. And yet there seems no willingness to address false accusers who stigmatize otherwise innocent people with Salem-witch-trial ease.

In USFK, cameras in the barracks actually helped this problem somewhat. While it may seem distasteful to have cameras in the barracks, it does shine a light on those who make false clams.

CAPT Don Bosch, EdD and MAJ Bill Darling I've seen this happen. I've seen a Director of Victim's Advocacy personally go after alleged victims. I've seen the this same person publicly criticize the ruling of judges and the finding of the courts. Noted that in this person's quest to express displeasure for the court ruling wrote or caused to be published an article about the "judges failure" While I don't want anyone who is guilty to be without punishment I also don't want those falsely accused to be punished when the evidence doesn't support the accusation. The laws regarding being found guilty are of such a nature that they will affect someone negatively for their entire lives.

Senator, you've been vocal about your pro-life stance regarding abortion's legality. What would you tell a young girl who's just been raped and has found out that she's pregnant?

PO1 Kerry French - Using the Hillary correct the record site would not be my first choice of references. This is a little more complete with quotes, and I have absolutely no qualms about supporting his positions when it comes to gratuitous killing babies in the womb for convenience.

CW3 (Join to see) - Our questions are being answered by Sen. Cruz. He will not be able to respond to everyone, but is trying to answer our questions. Quite likely, he has answered a similar question to yours if you look through his answers. There also seems to be a lively discussion from RP members on the questions (both pro and con) as well. Open and passionage discussion is what you can expect from Ted Cruz.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions sir.
How do you conquer the Trump phenomenon? He has so many folks brainwashed into his way of thinking. Personally I believe he is wrong for America. This is a very crucial election and America is in the balance. So what strategy do you use to sway those behind Trump to you. I trust that if you should win the nomination that America will be in good hands. May God bless you senator! I wish you the best of luck.

We've got to take the case to the American people -- friend to friend and neighbor to neighbor. In person and on social media.

I think all of us are frustrated. We’re frustrated with Washington and we’re fed up with politicians who say one thing and do another. We’ve seen that over and over and over again with "campaign conservatives" who on the campaign suddenly become the most conservative person you’ve ever seen.

As voters and citizens, here's a test we should apply: Scripture tells us you shall know them by their fruits. We need to ask not what are you saying on the campaign trail but have you walked the walk? Have you been a consistent conservative, the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow?

If you take a look at the 10 or 12 biggest issues, challenges, or fights facing the country and ask has meaningfully led on the issue.

Whether it is repealing Obamacare, securing our borders, stopping amnesty, stopping illegal immigration, defending the Second Amendment, defending religious liberty, and so many more, I've been leading fight after fight to protect our Bill of Rights and the Constitution.

Cool answer...Scripture tells us you shall know them by their fruits..you have turned your back on the Constitution you claim to be a strong defender of, you were caught cheating during the very first chance anyone had to vote in this race, your team blatantly lied about Marco Rubio's faith, you hid the money you took from big banking...how about some more scriptures 'why do you look at the splinter in your brother's eye, but not notice the beam in your own eye?'

It seems the pentagon, fixated on purchasing the most over priced hardware in the galaxy, and then being taken advantage of by delays, cost over runs, producing hardware that's flawed and doesn't work as advertised, is now raping personnel costs to pay for the hardware. Reducing promised health care benefits, reducing pay raises, reducing retirement benefits, increasing health care costs and co-pays. What do you plan to do exactly to reverse this trend?
