PO3 Christine Whitehead
I’d like to know the process for appealing my current VA rating. I’ve read several articles that talk about veterans possibly being eligible for a re-evaluation and then obtaining a higher rating.

Dear PO3 Whitehead, thank you for your service. Connecting with a local or national Veteran Service Officer, such as the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Veterans of Foreign Wars, etc. would be your best resource for guidance on the re-evaluation and/or appeals process. Best wishes, Bonnie Carroll

Thank you. I will reach out to my local Am Legion post.

I've had great VA experience and terrible experience. My doctor is outstanding. Pharmacy not so much. Direct interaction with Pharmacy is positive but some unknown pharmacist screws with my prescriptions without talking to my doctor or me. Am I on the care team? During this pandemic they have been awful. I hate to leave my doctor but I cannot take this Pharmacy. Veterans aren't first so don't kid yourself.

I’ve been trying to update my last name and address within the VA system, but COVID has the office I need to go to closed. How can I get this information updated ASAP?

PO3 Christine Whitehead - The organizations Maj Bonnie Carroll mentioned could assist you in filing out the documents needed to change your address. Otherwise you could log into E-Benefits, and my health e-vet an update your address electronically. I hope this helps.

Why has the VA stopped all community referrals to doctors outside of the VA? I have a broken tooth and cannot see an outside dentist because I cannot get a referral. I also have a heart condition and want to see a cardiologist but cannot get a referral. This sucks.

Since the USPS is so screwed up, and so many complaints have been filed by veterans about not having their stuff delivered from VA by the USPS, why don't the VA use UPS or Fedex? I have filed numerous complaints about the USPS not delivering medicine and important letters to me I lost count

The VA has a homeless prevention initiative that helps homeless veterans find stable housing. What services are available for veterans who have homes but need help with the upkeep, i.e. roof repair, electrical, etc.? There are veterans who would love to stay in their homes, the place where they worked hard to build, but may lose because their home is in disrepair.

Sgt Harold David Jones Sgt Harold David Jones - Let us first say with humble gratitude, Welcome Home. Have you connected with your local VA Vet Center? Vet Centers are the perfect place to connect with other Vietnam Veterans and were actually founded by Vietnam Veterans! We provide a great place to build community with others who can relate, support you and help you accomplish any personal goals you may have. Our services are at no cost and without time limitation to eligible individuals and based on the information you provided, you would be considered eligible. If you haven't already connected to your nearest Vet Center we would love the opportunity to introduce you to the team! All we need is your zip code. Please feel free to send us along further contact information and we can have someone reach out directly. It would be an honor to have you join our community of Veterans, active duty service members and their families who can find camaraderie and healing in a safe and trusted environment.

Can a Vietnam combat vet in travel to a foreign receive emergency medical assistance compensation in the event of a problem?
What procedures should be followed in the event of death in a foreign country by a vet?
