I am a disabled Veteran with pain issues but can function in moderation! Is their any way to be employed with this disability? I am unable to make it on disability pay! I must be employed to live without fear of always having enough to live on. My family is counting on me to bring us out!
SPC DeAndre Brooks
Is there any alternative healthcare or recommendations for dependents for veterans with less than 100% disability?
PO2 Lisa Muncy
I'm curious why civilian doctors are seeing patients, elective surgeries are being scheduled in civilian hospitals yet my local VA continues to cancel appointments? When are we going to get OUR Healthcare back. I feel we deserve the same care as civilians but someone doesn't see it that way because non emergent appointments are still being canceled, procedures that help with pain to keep us off the addicting pain meds are still being canceled. It just doesn't make since to me, and if everyone is required to wear a mask and that is to prevent the spread of COVID-19 why are our appointments still being canceled. I have asked this of schedulers calling to cancel my appointments and I keep getting told by everyone that is out of their control, it has to come from higher up. I've written respectful emails to my mayor, my governor and my congress men, to get nothing except a standard form email response stressing what's being done to prevent the spread, not a single person has actually answered my question.
I need my medical care back.
Thank you.

When will the military own up to the rampant sexual abuse, assault, and harassment that is in all of the armed forces since women joined the armed forces ????

CPL Sandra Dole CPL Sandra Dole - This may not be the situation in your personal experience, however we want to make you aware that Vet Centers provide counseling services to Veterans, service members and their families, to include members of the National Guard and Reserve forces, who were sexually traumatized while serving in the military regardless of gender or era of service. If you know of anyone who would benefit from professional counseling for such trauma, please let us know or refer them to their nearest Vet Center. We have 300 facilities around the country and are strictly confidential. Though we are apart of the VA system, we are separate from VA medical centers and clinics and do not share information with other VA or DoD offices unless in a life-threatening circumstance. Thank you for asking such an important question.

Thank you to your daughter for the care she has been providing. The VA Caregiver Support Program has two programs, the Program of General Caregiver Support Services and the Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers. Expansion of the Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC) to Veterans of earlier eras will occur in two phases. In the first phase, PCAFC will be offered to eligible Veterans who served on or before May 7, 1975. Phase two will begin two years later and will make the program available to eligible Veterans of all eras. The MISSION Act recognizes the important role of family caregivers in the health care of Veterans of all eras of service. By expanding PCAFC to eligible Veterans who served before September 11, 2001 and supporting their family caregivers, VA will help ensure the overall care and well-being of Veterans of all eras. We encourage your daughter to reach out to our program by calling [login to see] or visiting https://www.caregiver.va.gov/support/New_CSC_Page.asp to find your local Caregiver Support Program Team.

My immune system has been suppressed for the last 30 year's, for rheumatoid arthritis, now with this pandemic spreading so far and wide, I am afraid to leave my bedroom. Trying to be tested, as this virus has spread so quickly in Texas, I would like to be tested without waiting in the car for hours on end and still find out that there are no more test available! Like I said, I am afraid to leave my bedroom and mingle with people. It is difficult to wash my hands because my fingers are so twisted, so I use a lot of 91%Isopropyl alcohol to keep my hands clean. Whenever I go to the store, I wipe the electric shopping cart down with it and everytime I touch something I again douse my hands again. How can a person get the covid19 test without having to go to the E.R.?
