After reporting military dependent spouse 20/20/20 to DVA OIG, DFAS, Congressional inquiry, the pension center, who did not know my ex , now FS CH-61 100% SC TPD retired, estranged now FS identity theft used military dependents for now more than six years and counting, collected both DOD and DVA compensation, grants, social security, amended IRS returns, and profited from these actions through even his most ridiculous fraud action yet, a CH-13 Bankruptcy filing in May of 2019, entering altered pay documents to a Federal court, amending pay schedules four times, not listing one civil divorce court ordered action, and not acting on one of them, citing "I don't know what CRDP is", and also citing "I wasn't aware we were divorced". I would love to know why the DVA, although claims were filed, and he never changed his address from the estranged marital address, the DVA OIG citing him a "Criminal Felon", has no open case against him, and has done not a thing in now more than 2 years? I am an AD Registered Nurse, I was AD Army, A Gulf War Veteran, and worked DVA civil service and US Army civil service as an RN. FTC, local FBI, OIG, 65,000.00 in legal fees later and counting addressing this sham bankruptcy, and no one does a thing aside of protect "HIS PENSION" are you kidding me? I have a support order. And the DVA does not a thing. Must I knock on the front door of the White House? Topping it all off, he's had 2 non-military persons using our identities for more than six years supporting them with FEDERAL compensation with our names on it. HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN AND WHY DOES THE DVA KNOW AND DO NOT A THING ASIDE OF SAY HIS PENSION IS PROTECTED? THIS IS COMPLETELY NOT TRUE.

I am a SCDV, and my wife and I have legal custody of three grandchildren fulltime with no financial support from the VA, because the children are not adopted. In SC, good luck! I also work at the Florence National Cemetery as a Caretaker Technician, and have been out of work for 2 mths. LWOP, is my current status and want to know why/How does someone qualify for the donated leave program?

Good afternoon, Veterans Health Administration offers a spectrum of home care program designed to assist Veterans remain in their homes and remain independent for as long as possible. You should work with your primary care provider and social worker to discuss your individual needs. All enrolled Veterans are eligible for home care services. More information on the programs can be found on our webpage at http://www.va.gov/geriatrics

Dayna Cooper - The Veteran Direct Care program, implemented in 2009, is for Vets of all ages that are at risk of nursing home placement. Alot of VA's do not know about this program, such as the Atlanta VA and some of the VA's refuse the program, such as the Montgomery VA. This program will save the VA money and help veterans in need. My father needs this program, especially during this covid time yet noone will help get this program implemented in the Alabama CAVHS. How can we get help with this and why is this program not mandatory? Why does the Montgomery Chief social worker keep rejecting the program when this program should be going to the Director? Montgomery was supposed to be one of the 1st pilot programs. The Alabama Aging Consortium is certified to administer the program, yet it is 2020 and the Montgomery VA still refuses it.

Good afternoon AA James, although Operation Family Caregiver does not provide or offer in home care we do provide services for caregivers. If you are or know a veteran caregiver I'd be happy to share our program with you. Please visit http://operationfamilycaregiver.org/ for more information.

Why does the VA deny their own research done in Louisville VA and published in the American Journal of Urology in Jan 1991 by denying a presumptive relationship between Renal Cell Carcinoma and exposure to Agent Orange? My claim was denied. My appeal has been pending for nearly two years now. Is this just another example of the VA's informal policy of Lie, Deny, Hope I die?

This will sound terrible. The VA does not take the time to fully research all studies. Print the study off and attach it to the appeal or when you re-apply. That way they have it. They have to acknowledge it in any denial. If they don't, there are steps top take, but I'm not entirely sure of them right now.

Presently the VA Community Care Network has not developed efficient working relationships with smaller hospitals, dental and eye care facilities in smaller towns. Veterans attempting to get bills paid through the now defunct Choice Program are being referred to OPTUM UnitedHealthCare to do the follow up and pay some bills, requiring multiple phone calls, poor responses, and frustrated clients and providers.Without proper management I suspect this program will go the way of the discredited Veterans Choice program.

The COVID pandemic had changed Community Care. Ours is only doing " emergency " now.

Yours is not the only Urgent Care provider to do this. There is a structural problem that is not being recognized here and I believe it has to do with funding, not Covid. SPC Tesha Gaither

A surviving spouse of a Veteran who died from a service-related injury or illness, may be able to get a tax-free monetary benefit called VA Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (VA DIC). Please visit https://www.va.gov/disability/dependency-indemnity-compensation/ for eligibility information and how to apply.

Good afternoon, and thank you for your question! Unfortunately, upon your passing your VA disability benefits will end. However, VA does offer a variety of benefits for surviving spouses that your spouse may qualify for, such as Dependency and Indemnity Compensation as MAJ Weatherley mentioned above. Please feel free to reach out to us at [login to see] and we will gladly go into further details!

Dear TSgt Keil, Thank you for your question and your service to our country. The Department of Veterans Affairs offers a number of benefits to eligible surviving spouses and children. For example, Dependency and Indemnity Compensation (DIC) is a tax-free monetary benefit paid to eligible survivors of service members and veterans whose death resulted from a service related injury or illness. The Survivor Pension is a tax-free monetary benefit payable to a low-income, un-remarried spouse and.or unmarried dependent child of a deceased veteran with wartime service. TAPS Casework provides support in navigating survivor benefits, as well as partnerships with organizations like the Department of Veterans Affairs. Should anyone grieving a military death have questions, please encourage them to contact TAPS 24/7 at 800.959.TAPS (8277) or e-mail [login to see] . We are here to help. With gratitude, Bonnie Carroll

I would like to know why the VA healthcare system does nothing for the Veterans when it comes to fertility? They do not help with IVF for either male or female Veterans. Also, I was taken off the needing care for back issues because of my service when all of a sudden I was take off the care program. the excuse was not given to me. When my wife and I went to the VA Hospital it was a maze trying to find anyone who can help. the End result was I paid an arm and leg to go pay for treatment at a private hospital in MEXICO to do what the VA could not and would not do. Also, why is it that the staff is not held accountable and terminated when neglecting Veterans? I get attitudes when I ask about results for my labs. an example is what is my Liver levels at, the response is oh it's normal what is the range, etc. this is unexcitable.

Hello Sir, It is my understanding the VA does provide fertility services for veterans. However, Congress has determined the eligibility requirements. The Bob Woodruff Foundation also provides fertility support you may want to consider. Here is our application page, with FAQs. I hope it is helpful!

The VA home loan guarantee only guarantees the portion of the loan enabling the lender to provide you with more favorable terms. For more information regarding the VA home loan guaranty program to include eligibility visit https://benefits.va.gov/homeloans/
