Wow! It's amazing we're able to get anything accomplished. Thank you for the humorous read. I look forward to the positive changes!

Great post. You make many good points. We should be able to integrate many of these websites. Unfortunately we contract each new website out to cheapest vendor so it's never the same group. Integrating these systems will be a headache but it would be worth it. If it ever was to happen, I am sure the Navy would botch it up somehow... Especially if they let NMCI have anything to do with the servers...

What a great idea! Give the hackers a one-stop shop to get all of my information. They will have a better chance of accessing it then some poor Sailor stuck on a small boy with no bandwidth.

Great ideas! But once I realized you had forgotten to list TWMS, I knew you were a fraud!

And to think, I have my records on a micro-fiche film. I can hardly remember the acronyms used back then. I know more Army ones, thanks to my son. But, for future uses, it would be nice to see a system that is actually usable and secure. Thanks for the insight!

Sextant Vs. Astrolabe. It's all in how you use these systems. It's a great change.

Diet Coke? You must know my OpsO.

Sounds like a pretty great idea to merge it all in a meaningful way, but until it happens smoothly I'll forever be skeptical, even with the knowledge an O-4 is sending ideas to Big Navy securely stowed in my brain.

I was on all these systems for 32 years. There is absolutely no way that you will ever be able to combine everything into one system that works without becoming one huge nightmare to negotiate. How much money has been wasted to merge military medical records and VA records into one system that we still don't have? Really, you're going to combine NSIPS and FLTEMPS and other disparate systems into one? Good luck! I only used these two to track specific unit personnel and member training information. You will spend a couple billion $'s and years to try this and then hopefully it might just work, barely.

Yes, there is a way! The Marine Corps has a one-stop-shop for everything called Marine OnLine! Time for Big Navy to get real and stop kicking the can down the road...Thanks for posting...Hope that NPC or someone is listening?

Does Marine On Line require CAC access? What does it include? It would still take quite a while to combine all the different programs. Especially the decision of what information needs to be put into it and what to discard. Any decision to even do anything I'll bet would be a good year off.
