These clinical trials are funded by the Department of Defense (DoD) and will be conducted at NSU's Institute for Neuro-Immune Medicine, Boston University, New Jersey War Related Illness and Injury Study Center (WRIISC), and the California U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs War Related Illness and Injury Study Center (WRIISC). Would the combination of burn pits and nuclear tipped armor piercing rounds contribute to this condition?

Great question GySgt Cordero; the VA recommends that if a Gulf War Veteran is concerned with post deployment health issues should register for both the Burn Pit Registry and Gulf War Registry Health Exam. An exam for Depleted Uranium exposure is part of the Gulf War Registry exam. I appreciate your keen observation and hope this information helps Gulf War Veterans contending with the wounds of toxic exposure: https://www.publichealth.va.gov/exposures/gulfwar/benefits/registry-exam.asp
