Any advice for an NCO going to MOS-T next month?

I will be reporting next month to start my training. (17E) Any advice or things I should be expecting as an NCO?

Reclassed twice. Lead by example, do not be unprofessional towards or hang out with the Privates. Stay away from them off duty. Ficus on your studies and move on. Best of luck.

When I have reclassed with NCOs....twice....they were told that while they were NCOs they were also on Student Status and therefore had no authority to correct any IET student for any infraction. The interactions with the IETs were to be during POI time and no other time.

We still have General Military Authority, though. I would still makecorrections, if the cadre do not catch something.

SFC (Join to see) - I remember when I went to ALC Phases 2 and 3 at FT Sam...we SSGs (and one SGT) were specifically told that we were NOT to engage with ANY IET Soldiers even if we saw an infraction. That we were to find their Cadre/Drill Sergeant and report the situation.

SFC (Join to see) yeah, the dynamic between General Military Authority and TRADOC 350-1 is a weird one.

Stay away from the IET students. Only deal with them during class and that’s it
