If I already signed a reenlistment contract for a specific duty station, does that mean I’m going to PCS to that specific duty station?

Hi! Just wanna ask is anyone a career counselor here? I just have a question . I just reenlist for a specific duty station. Signed my contract. Already did my levy brief and all of a sudden it is saying that I am canceled on going to GA. I think it messed up because I’ve been here in drum for almost 3 years and when I was trying to go the board they said they couldn’t find my name on roster.found out that I’m not in my units tracker. So they finally put my name on the system of my unit but now it’s showing that im staying in drum for another 3 yrs. I dunno if it is ippsa that is messed up. But I wanna make sure that I’m still gonna pcs.

SFC (Join to see) is our resident career counselor extraordinaire.
He can shed more light than I. But until he does so....
Generally, if it is in the contract it is guaranteed. Ish. Things like school slots are when they become available. Duty assignments are a 99% shot, but the Army can still move you around based on needs of the Army. But they need to have a DARNED good reason to do so, and chances are high that are your level (SL1or even SL2 if you are promotable and were slotted for a SGT position) there is no reason to pull your orders. Unless......
Unless you are involved with legal action at Drum, and they are keeping you for UCMJ, pending SHARP or EO investigation, or as a witness/victim/other similar for similar actions for another.
Highly recommend you take your signed contract to your BN re-up NCO and see if (s)he can sort it out. Chances are pretty good, they will end up sending you up to BDE Career Counselor, but don't want to jump BN.
It may take some time, but it is highly likely Career Counselor can get it sorted.
Or.... once he chimes in do whatever SFC Boyd tells you to do.

Went to my BN counselor earlier. She didnt even know why my reassignment is canceled. She printed the reenlistment reservation record it still shows that my report date is on September however when she goes to ippsa it says that it is canceled. She told me to go back at Wednesday because she just emailed hrc. But I wanted to make sure that I’m leaving drum because I can’t bare to stay here anymore.

I wonder if your assignment was already given prior to the contract being put into the system. Either way, yea....stay in close contact with your Career Counselor.
