First its the Confederates, next its founding fathers, then the things the founding fathers created - like US Constitution and Declaration of Independence. Seems to me this is how a socialist revolution begins. However in today's environment its not so mush of a proletarian movement more so egalitarian. Its based on social equality and pits the oppressed against the oppressors. Seeing radical feminist, anarchists and Black Lives Matter all marching in unison is a clue to where this is headed.

However removing statues of those that are cast into the lot of oppressors seems to be more than just a domestic solution as others are dealing with historical similarities - Ukraine its Lenin, South Africa its Cecil Rhodes, for us it dead Confederates. While statues from an ugly era of history can be relocated or demolished, the history remains unmovable and just as monumental.

What's next, Mt. Rushmore? This has the capability of getting out of hand. Lot's of well-armed folks out there that have just been waiting for an excuse. Makes me wonder who's really driving this train.

I figured as much. It would be a big mistake IMO. The old adage "be careful what you wish for" applies. At some point this knee-jerk reaction to statues is going to get too close to home for those behind it, and it will get interesting. What goes around comes around and the courts will most likely see it that way. It will not be well received and a lot will be wishing they'd have looked before they leaped.
