Now that the penalty phase has begun, the big question is whether or not to give him the death penalty. 17 of the 30 charges he was convicted of carry a possible death sentence. Is this guy worth the money to put on death row or could he spend the rest of his life in prison at a much lesser cost?

My opinion I feel he deserves the death penalty for what he did. I feel for the family, the police officers and everybody who was involved. it was a tragic day and he should be held responsible for his actions. I don't believe in taking care of people like this, but the appeals process and the way the system works in the United States he may sit on death row for 30 years just wondering everybody else's thoughts.

Especially after that terd flipped off the camera in his cell. I'd like to flip him off while he's getting the lethal injection!

I say he gets released on the sex offender side and they can do what they want with him.

I am generally opposed to the death penalty, given how little confidence I have in government's competency to kill with justice. Further, the extra cost that would be incurred and the additional coverage and heartache caused by all the automatic appeals and motions would just be salt in wounds. Life without parole. Permanent loss of liberty, and maybe a little Roman-Style Damnatio memoriae for him and his brother seems appropriate. Let's be done with these worthless creatures, let us never speak of them again but in the indefinite and only to analyze how to prevent others from acting as they did.

Now I also have a slick Latin phrase for the only appropriate punishment for terrorism.
