Please I sank a m113 in Germany had it not been for the VC pulling me out of the drivers hatch by my deuce gear it would have been Davy's locker for me

Amphibious vehicles are always extra iffy. Glad no one was killed.
I was driving an M113 for a swim lesson and the engine blew.
I was grateful I did not have to swim test. More than a few sank like rocks.

Our maintenance boys use to attach a tow cable to the M-113's when they did, just in case of a malfunction in the carrier.
