Can I wear both the Holland Four Day March ribbon and German Schutzenschnur on my ASU's?

AR 600-8-22 specifies that only one foreign badge may be worn at a time on the ASU. Under appendix D the Holland Four Day March is listed as a decoration and the German Schutzenschnur is listed under appendix E as a badge. Am I allowed to wear the Holland Four Day March ribbon and the German Schutzenschnur at the same time since only one is listed as a badge? I have the approval for wear memorandum for each.

One foreign badge means badge, that means wings, scuba badge, Schutzenschnur, etc.
That has nothing to do with the number of foreign ribbons at the bottom of your rack.

The Holland Four Day March as with the German Schutzenschnur must have US Military Written Orders before you are allowed to wear on your dress uniform unless you are still in the unit that participated.

I have the written orders for both awards I am just unsure if allowed to wear both at the same time since one is a decoration and one is a badge I have heard conflicting information and have not been able to find a definitive answer in AR 600-8-22, AR 670-1, or DA PAM 670-1.

SGT (Join to see) - The four day event is a ribbon and the Schutzenschnur is a a braided lanyard, there is no problem with both of them being worn at the same time since neither will interfere with the wearing of other awards. For example you cannot wear both the French Croix-de-Guerre and the Schutzenschnur at the same time as they would be contrary, occupying the same award position, on your dress-uniform.
If I had a unit award such as the French or Belgium Croix-de-Guerre, I would wear it at that unit to support the unit's esprit-de-corps. in all other locations and places I would wear the Schutzenschnur since it is a permanent, personal award.

My unit does have the French Forage so I will be removing the Schutzenschnur then. I appreciate the information.

SGT (Join to see) - No problem. Be sure to wear the ribbon for the Holland Four Day Event Cross beneath the US Awards you wear as they have a precedence above foreign awards.

It was my belief that the medal is strictly honorary. I participated in two marches in the 90s.

It’s is in Appendix D of AR 600-8-22 so the ribbon can be worn as long as you have the approving orders for wear.
