I don’t even care about the hair. Soldier says the CSM grabbed her arm. CPT says the CSM tapped her shoulder. The investigation will let both sides be heard. I’m more concerned about something else the article brought to light.

“ A culinary specialist, she said, she was recently reassigned from an on-post dining facility to her battalion’s headquarters company after objecting to cooking pork products.”

An Army cook that won’t cook bacon? That’s just...wrong.

Seems like a recruiter failed this soldier.
Recruiter: ‘wanna be a cook? Good sign on bonus!”
Recruit: “will I have to cook bacon?”
Recruiter: “umm...sure, no. You’ll just do the eggs and pizzas and stuff. Good luck soldier!”
Recruit: sign me up!

MSG (Join to see) I immediately imagined "Doofenshmirtz Bacon Incorporated" when I read your comment. And that's not going to make sense unless you have kids, so here's a reference. https://youtu.be/FJeBHiDOTPE

On-the-spot-correction.
With regard to the statement, "Unless this CSM, who wretchedly denigrated our MRFF client by ordering her to take off her hijab in public, enjoys the extraordinary powers of X-ray vision, it would have been impossible for this CSM to have even seen the hair of our MRFF client,” yes, apparently the CSM does have X-ray vision because her hair was loose, unless the integrity of the CSM and CPT are in question.
I see a need to identify the appropriate environment to make such a correction without impeding the authority of NCOs and officers to enforce uniform policies.
Guess the MRFF had no comment on her being reassigned to BN because she is cook who is opposed to cooking pork.

Obviously the CSM did see something under the hood since the CSM asked another person to witness the on the spot correction. Plus, I've never seen a CSM grab someone by the arm. Ever. You just don't need to at that rank, your presence is usually intimidating enough.
As for not cooking pork as a cook... That sounds like a mandatory Reclass to me.

Pretty simple to me, in uniform or not? Regulation or not.
