What are the things I should do after getting married at AIT?

I'm getting married in 4 days during my AIT. What are the things I should do after I get married? Does she have to be there with my in order to apply for BAH / get added to DEERS? She's living in California and I live in Georgia, so she'll be leaving right after we get married. Thanks in advance <3

I did the same thing, no she does not need to be there for the DEERS process, just make sure you have originals. Also get on a wait list now for whatever housing you want at your gaining unit, I was stuck w/o housing for a month and didn't get BAH till 4 months of being here. Make sure you address it sooner rather than later.

When you get to your duty station, go to the deers office with your marriage license and get her enrolled in the insurance and deers. She doesn’t have to be with you to do that. You just need all the proper paperwork. Then you can apply for on post housing.

Some advice I'd give is if you're not sure how it'll work or what to do, wait. Just be patient and wait for your first duty station and talk to your NCO's there to help you get married.
