On July 20, 1944, Hitler cheats death as a bomb planted in a briefcase goes off, but fails to kill him.
High-ranking German officials had made up their minds that Hitler must die. He was leading Germany in a suicidal war on two fronts, and assassination was the only way to stop him. A coup d’etat would follow, and a new government in Berlin would save Germany from complete destruction at the hands of the Allies.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen Oak's been proven to be a very resilient wood for awhile. The USS Constitution is made out of oak, and I have little doubt that the British cannonballs hit oak wood planks which proved impervious to the hits; thus why a sailor who witnessed the hits proclaimed "Huzzah! Her side are made of iron!"
It's also a fantastic wood to burn when seasoned.

My father and godfather were part of World War II as were my aunt and uncle, many men from my hometown. I take more than an army to defeat I psychopath like Hitler. After learning about some of things h did and demanded, I wanted a shot at him myself decades later after visiting the camp locations, reading about atrocious experiments. This is what happens with lots of propaganda, recruitment so families wouldn’t starve and indoctrination.

Kim, I visited Dachau in the mid-70s. You could still smell the place decades after what it was used for.

I also have been there and to the museum in Washington DC. One of my friends parents still had their numbers tattooed on their arms from Dachau and Auschwitz.
