Water/Food Borne Illness Outbreak Investigation. Oh, that's going to be a fun one. Every single Recruit will need to be interviewed to figure out what the common denominator is. Figuring out what each recruit ate and drank for Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner for three days before the first sign of symptoms. Everywhere these recruits went will need an inspection. DFACs, Latrines, Water Sources. Water analysis on all water sources where these recruits were/are. This is basically where the meat and potatoes of Preventive Medicine lies.

Since Recruits only eat at one Mess Hall it should be easy to pin it down. It didn't mention if they were all in the same company. Pretty sure the ones who were diagnosed while up at Edson Range had recently left the depot for weapons qual. There is no mention of DIs or permanent personnel getting sick. Some of the DIs do eat at the recruit mess hall, as well as the cooks assigned there. Perhaps it was one particular meal that did it.

MSG (Join to see) as if boot camp wasn't already challenging enough for "Uncle Sam's Misguided Children"! Hope they all recover soon and graduate with their respective units!
