THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT.

.THUNDERSTORM IMPACT...
Deep moisture remaining across east central Florida will provide
another day of scattered to numerous lightning storms. Highest
chances will initially be across interior sections early to mid
afternoon before transitioning toward the eastern side of the
peninsula from mid afternoon into early evening. Storms will move
toward the east-northeast at around 15 mph. Some strong storms
will be possible with frequent lightning strikes, torrential
downpours, and gusty winds of 40 to 50 mph. Move indoors to safety
at the first sign of threatening skies, or if you hear thunder.

.FLOOD IMPACT...
Some storms will be capable of torrential downpours producing 1
to 2 inches of rainfall in a short duration, especially where
multiple boundaries interact. This may result in ponding of water
on roadways and parking lots as well as other poorly drained and
low-lying areas.

.MARINE THUNDERSTORM GUST IMPACT...
Wind gusts over 35 knots may occur in stronger storms over large
inland lakes, as well as the Intracoastal Waterway and also over
the Atlantic waters. Boaters should keep a look out for strong
storms moving in from the west and southwest this afternoon and
evening. Seek safe harbour before storms threaten your area.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SATURDAY THROUGH THURSDAY.
Scattered to numerous showers and storms are expected each
afternoon through this weekend and into next week. The higher
chances will favor the eastern side of the peninsula into this
weekend but will transition toward the interior early next week.
The main storm threats continue to be cloud to ground lightning
strikes, gusty winds, and ponding of water on roadways from heavy
downpours.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation is not expected today and tonight.

.NOW...
Through early afternoon, isolated showers will be possible,
mainly within Lake and Volusia Counties.

Showers and lightning storms will increase in coverage during the
early to mid afternoon, especially north of a line from around
Clermont to New Smyrna Beach and near the immediate Treasure Coast.
Cells will move northeast near 15 mph.

The greatest concentration and intensity of storms is expected over
the coastal counties during the late afternoon and early evening as
activity approaching from the west interacts with the east coast sea
breeze.

Hazards today will include multiple rounds of locally heavy
rainfall, with totals of 2 to 3 inches leading to some areas of
roadway and poor drainage flooding. Frequent cloud to ground
lightning and wind gusts to around 40 mph will also accompany
the stronger storms.
