No lockdown, shelter-in-place orders for state of Kansas

CW2 Michael Bodnar The economy is already wrecked by this. Stay at home orders for whom? How are they (the government) going to supply food and other necessities if they lock everyone down? What political party are the administrations of the cities and states that are already in lock down mode? Are they not the ones that are not even able to handle normal governmental functions, let alone a crisis.
Who is going to plant, harvest, process, and move the crops, etc. to market? I know for a fact that there are not enough farmers, agricultural processors, transportation specialist, and veterinarians available, especially if they called up those in the Guard and Reserve. What are they going to do tell them to turn around and go home and do their normal job? ROFLMAO, at the fools that are going to try that.

SSG Robert Webster - there are numerous cities in California, New York, and some states on the east coast that have already implemented state at home orders. Now, you bring up many great points about who is going to deliver goods to those areas that need it most. In my humble opinion, it's not the responsibility of the federal government to supply us with food and other necessitates. That falls to the individual communities and the public and private companies that supply us with these goods and services. I feel that states and the public have gotten way to used to the fact of declaring states of emergencies anytime something happens. The states are sovereign but ever since 2005 when Katrina hit New Orleans, we've seen states rep the benefits of federal money anytime there's a disaster. I feel it's time to ween the public off the federal government assistance and start taking care of ourselves within our communities.
