He's the Commander in chief! It's his discretion. You'd rather see our soldiers in prison? Fuck off.

SGT Richard Garza I'd much rather see war criminals in prison than on the campaign trail for POTUS.

The military is not undermined because the Commander in Chief makes this decision. I wouldn't have made the same decision, but then I don't have all of the evidence either.
This drumbeat of articles is an effort to establish yet another narrative. This one is weaker sauce than most.
You know what really undermines the military?
Not giving them the tools they need to accomplish the mission.
Giving them missions that have no reasonable end state.
Tying their hands by making fires contingent on General Officer or even civilian leadership concurrence.
Getting us into stupid conflicts that the US has a maybe casual interest in.
That undermines the military.

SSgt William Quinn - Yes, the cases were reviewed numerous times - and the recommendation to the President was to NOT intervene.

MAJ Bryan Zeski - Not the choice I would have made, but I respect the decision.

Many on here I respect such as yourself don't agree with the pardons but I would like to suggest people look at these and Bradley Manning in a different light as Manning was set free by Obama. Which cases could do the most harm to national security? The two cases of killing people in a combat zone and one posing with a dead body or giving secrets to Wikileaks? I am far more concerned with what Bradley Manning did and his pardon than any of these other three. Manning's crime could easily still be hurting national security.
