Clean Energy Analyst

A² Systems Engineering, Inc., a veteran owned small business, is seeking to immediately hire a Clean Energy Analyst to support the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense (Environment & Energy Resilience). Located in the National Capital Region, this person must have a passion for clean energy and strong energy background, particularly in Department of Defense (DoD) Installation Energy, and strong communication and critical thinking ability.

Responsibilities:

Provide technical expertise to government clients in the areas of carbon pollution-free electricity (CFE), zero emissions vehicles and related infrastructure, and net zero.
Attend high-level meetings when the government client is unable to, knowing when to take note of pertinent energy issues, and then communicating meeting outcomes back to the client.
Lead the coordination of large webinars and working groups on various clean energy topics, such as CFE, zero emissions vehicles, net zero and others to include identifying speakers and managing the overall virtual event.
Generate key documents to communicate clean energy progress, data, and messages, such as emails, briefings, and more.
Draft responses to Congressional requests and for information and reporting requirements for review by the government client.
Conduct data analysis and generate data visualizations as assigned using large clean energy data sets.
Requirements:

Demonstrated writing ability and experience, specifically in policy writing, reports generation, and presentation creation
Demonstrated clean energy background and experience in carbon free energy technologies, zero emissions vehicles, and net zero
Experience working with DoD clients and DoD energy programs, knowledge of DoD energy policy and mandates
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Secret clearance. Top Secret preferable
Desired:

Demonstrated data analysis or data visualization skills
Experience with data visualization programs such as Microsoft Power BI or others
