Fermilab’s finance organization seeks an Oracle eBS Business Analyst - Accounting to support the Accounting Department with business systems and reporting functions. This position’s primary role is to provide support for Oracle EBS accounting functions, including the execution of routine system functions, troubleshooting interfaces from other business systems, and functional user support. In addition, this person will assist in supporting Oracle EPM Planning and Accounting Department reporting.

You will:

Complete Oracle EBS cyclical tasks, such as interface reconciliation with other systems and month- and year-end closes.

Maintain the indirect cost configuration and enter the accounting- and project-related metadata, including projects, tasks, organizations, accounts, and other fields, in Oracle EBS.

Collaborate with users to ensure that EBS is configured to be compliant and to support the mission.

Work closely with IT and act as an Oracle EBS functional subject matter expert.

Coordinate testing of Oracle EBS upgrades and enhancements.

Assist Accounting staff with Oracle OBIEE reports and provide data for ad-hoc requests.

With assistance from the Budget Office, maintain the Oracle EPM budgeting system, support EPM users, and perform data interface reconciliations.

We are looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Information Systems. Master’s degree or accounting-related professional certification, such as CPA or CMA, is helpful.

5+ years of substantial experience with Oracle EBS, or a similar ERP system, as a functional administrator, accounting systems analyst, or a functional analyst. Experience with Financials is a must. Familiarity with project accounting and indirect rate configuration is desired.

2+ years of substantial experience with reporting applications.

Experience in the federal government sector, such as the Department of Energy or the Department of Defense, is preferred.

Relocation is not available for this position.

Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.

Ability and willingness to occasionally work beyond the normal workday and on weekends during critical reporting periods.
