Protestant Parish Coordinator Position
The JBAB Chapel has a part-time contract vacancy for a Chapel Tithes and Offerings Fund Protestant Parish Coordinator Contract. The contractor will provide support to the entire Protestant Community Program.
Applicants must have the following qualifications:
Evidence of appropriate competence in the form of a résumé and proof of work or volunteer experience in a similar or related field.
The résumé will contain academic and work-related references documenting past work performance.
The preferred candidate shall have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a position equivalent to that of a Protestant Parish Coordinator.
Must have knowledge and experience in the use of computer equipment and Microsoft Office software programs.
Must provide a portfolio of Microsoft Office products to demonstrate experience.
Must have at least two (2) years of experience developing and utilizing financial budgets for an organization.
Must be able to receive clearance from a background investigation IAW Public Law 101- 647, Section 231 (Crime Control Act of 1990 and DODI 1402.5, Criminal History Background Checks on Individuals in Child Care Service Position). An adverse finding from this investigation may result in the termination of services.
Must participate in a qualifying interview and be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of the Protestant faith, practices, and traditions.
May be required to demonstrate problem-solving and program-building based on parish needs.
Be able to work in and be fully acquainted with the pluralistic environment of the U.S. Air Force Chaplain Corps.
Be qualified to perform the required services with minimal direction.
Be positive, self-directed, motivated, and able to interface and communicate well with people.
The contractor must possess the ability to interact constructively with staff and lay volunteers in stressful situations.
Be able to speak English comfortably and confidently to large groups of people.
The contract will be awarded based on “best value” to the government.
Applicants can pick up the Statement of Work (SOW), the Basis of Award, the bid sheet, and other documents from the JBAB Chapel Center reception office Monday- Friday from 0730-1530.
Required Items: Resume, three letters of recommendation, and sealed bid/price sheet (in a separate envelope) will be received by the CTOF Contracting Officer, SSgt Yasin Karatali, at the Chapel Center located at 310 Angell St SW, Washington DC 20032, no later than 11:00 a.m. EDT, 22 January 2023. Late bids will not be accepted.
Interviews will be conducted on 26-27 January 2023 at an agreed-upon time by the Contracting Officer and the Offeror.
The Contracting Officer will conduct a public bid opening at 3:00 p.m., 27 January 2023, at the Chapel Center located at 310 Angell St SW, Washington, DC 20032.
All bidders are invited to attend the bid opening but are not required to attend.
