Job Responsibilities

Establish and maintain accounting procedures to accurately reflect up-to-date balances of each budget code for the institution.
Prepares and monitors institutional budget, petty cash and special funds.
Responsible for inmate debit cards and ordering and distribution of supplies.
Establish, prepare, and maintain accurate records of inmate payroll.
Must successfully complete eight (8) week Basic Training upon hire,

Minimum and Additional Requirements
State of South Carolina Minimum Requirements:
A high school diploma.

SCDC Minimum Requirements:
(Or an acceptable equivalency as approved by the Division of State Human Resources).

A High School Diploma.
One (1) years of clerical accounting or bookkeeping experience;
OR
A Associate Degree with 12 semester hours in accounting related courses may be substituted for education, training and experience.
