What is the time line for O2 to O3. I know it used to be 2 years but from what I understand they had extended the TIS from 3.5 to 4. What YG did this start with?

I would call your career counselor and speak with them about it. Not sure what year group it began (possibly 2011 or 2010) but I heard that the annual board is only looking at 6months of eligibility so for example:

2014 board only looks at first half of 2014, then the 2015 board only looks at second half of 2014, then the 2016 board only looks at first half of 2015 and so on. (aka every year gets 6months further behind in promotions). Are you active duty though? it may be different for you.

LT, I am an odd one. I am AGR in the reserve. So title 10 Active Duty but not Regular Army.

Chalkley if you are Reserves then you should still only require 24 months TIG to be eligible for O3 (as I am). If you are Federal Reserves then you have the same timeline as Active Duty (which is automatic once you hit TIG) from what I've learned. Only National Guard Officers suffer through the Fed Rec process. Hope you've already been promoted, I've been in Command for over a year and hope to be promoted in a few days. My state has a couple hard rules on who gets selected so that delayed me further.
