During my years of service the APFT was not at all gender neutral and as the extra pt NCO for several years I saw the firsthand effects of it. O had more females on the afternoon pt than males everytime due to less rigorous pt standards. Because of the difference in the scoring females tended not to push as hard to excel. Don't say I'm being chauvinistic either at one point my own wife was on corrective pt and she got no slack either. Combat fatigue is combat fatigue if your not fit when you deploy chances are you won't be getting any pt during. Do yourself a favor and whether female or male prepare your body combat.
