COL Mikel J. Burroughs Roland Smith, CEO of Office Depot was not presented. Class of 1976 at West Point, Mr. Smith has held multiple CEO positions. One of my sons was a direct report to Roland at one company. They would vie to see which of them could come closest to completing a 30 minute speech in 30:00 minutes.

I didn't know the specific number of Fortune 500 CEOS who got their start in the military; but, I am not all surprised to learn that 15 did and I expect many of this 15 got their start in the Vietnam war when the nation was against the military in many ways COL Mikel J. Burroughs.
I expect their experiences shaped their leadership styles and the way they their their subordinates with respect.
