Some time ago I encountered a book called Durable Trades, by Rory Groves. He explores the idea of pursuing a trade that has changed little over the centuries since before the Industrial Revolution.
I found the idea intriguing. That level of job stability is enviable!
As I looked it over, I realized I had two such trades. I am a writer, and I am a Soldier.
For me, the link that connects the two is my passion for freedom.
As my LinkedIn headline declares, "I promote freedom through expertly written articles in standard American English as a freelance writer and editor and by sharing my professional understanding of small unit tactics in face-to-face training as a PMC."
I genuinely love my jobs.

SPC Elijah J. Henry, MBA what a powerful, beautiful description of how multifaceted we can find our strengths, and how fulfilling it is when we can express them all!
