There are some helpful tips in here for those who might be getting their first phone interview. "Don't go in Blind" is my personal #1. Always pack in some research on the company and on who you will be speaking with. This phone call could be a gateway to some really great opportunities if you impress this first interviewer.

Always do your homework! Find out exactly what the job entails, what experience you have that would be helpful, and sound confident!
Don't "ummmm" or "uhhhh" when asked a question, think silently, then answer the question they asked, don't slide off on a side thought... just answer the question.
You are smart, you have earned the right to any job, and remind yourself how lucky those people will be to have a team player, who has your experience and your intelligence!
