And the U.S. Coast Guard was right there in the mix. Unsung heroes in the war on drugs, I'd say. "We" (Americans) provide the demand, and other countries the supply. The only wall between the two is law enforcement, and the Coast Guard plays a very important role in that equation.

Not unsung they are the war on drugs, USN does not have Law Enforcement authority. Add to that they are always there fighting side by side with our boys in gray.

LCDR (Join to see) - I think that the Navy should have the authority to search and sink drug boats on the high seas.
I doubt that a drug runner could evade a SSN on search and destroy.
Drug Planes should be shot out of the sky. I fly small planes often. We have a transponder and show up on radar. ANYONE that is not showing up with a transponder should be intercepted and shot down.
ALL US Military Forces should be used to stop the drugs before they get here. Period, end of statement.
