I got orders to Denver, CO and the organization is based out of Ft. Bliss, TX. Any help or information would be great!

SFC,

If you are referring to an AC being attached to an RC unit then yes I do. They are treated pretty much like an AGR Soldier. You are a full-timer with most of the unit (95%???) being part-time or TPUs as they are called. I have seen a few and all of them have been the training NCO responsible for scheduling training for drill weekends and annual training. It is an interesting adjustment from what they have said. I have not heard how it is to transition back to the AC though.

Be prepared to feel like you just joined the Army all over as most of our systems are different and you will have to request permissions for everything and learn new forms and procedures.

Sir,

If you have anymore information, that would be great. They are calling this a special assginment and haven't heard much about it. I wouldn't think it would be hard to transition back to an AC duty assignment as you would probably talk to branch once your assignment is complete.

Message me privately and I will hook you up with a phone number to the unit in my battalion who has a AC SFC.
