Could I get a medical extention for the duty station I'm already in, even if I'm on orders to go somewhere else?

I came down on orders a week ago for my next duty station. I recently had surgery on my jaw, but I'd like to get a medical extension to stay out here in order to continue my oral treatment until its complete. Is it possible if I put in an FSTE packet and get it approved, will it be enough justification to stay where I'm at?

Talk to the BN PA, he has to clear you to PCS. If he feels that no harm will be done by PCSing andyour continued care can be taken care of there as well where you are at, be prepared to go. Never be afraid to ask, but don’t get bent out of shape if you don’t get the answer you want.
