I moved to Hawaii back in 2018 and my wife and I need to move out of our current home and into military housing. Even though the people moved my stuff when I got here is it possible to get them to help me move again even if it's not for pcs.

Some installations will authorize you to file a local voucher to move on post. But that is local policy, and the Army itself absolutely will not pay to move you. A lot of it also depends on why you "need" to move on post, such as if it's command directed or for an emergency.

The orders to move are usually the only way to get a funded move. If a locality directs you to move in to government quarters, they should cut you some sort of orders, which will come out of the the ordering HQ budget.

Went through this with rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic in post housing "alignment". I did not have the $ to fund the moves.

PCS moves are not by "contract" they are by PCS orders or some other locally funded process. Average cost of a government move is $20,000. Majority of that cost is the packing, load out, and down load. Has little to,do with how far unless we are talking OCONUS to CONUS type move.

Redommend ypu go to your first line and ask for help moving. Maybe your squad/section could help you. You'll have to pack, rent a truck, load, and unload, but at least you can get some help loading and unloading

No. You are authorized the initial move to the duty station. Any move after is at your own expense.

Prime example of not picking somewhere to live unless you plan to stay.

SPC (Join to see) - that isn't the government's issue. What did your lease say?

Nope, not from the same order. However, there is always another order or addendum to the previous order. Usually, that will comes from the garrison-command of that post. This unit is the one in charge of the housing and everything to run the base. However, their problem would come down to money. If they have to do you, they would have to do for everyone else that comes after you. Now you can see the problem, right? The best solution? A general or general's staff (RHIP).
