If your friend is in basic at the same time as you, and you are the same MOS, could you be in the same unit?

It is a possibility. You guys can also look into going into the buddy program. That is if it still exists. There used to be a program where you and your friend could pal around and go through all of your training together. Ask your recruiter about it.

Sgt Joe the buddy program still exists but like I told him in my threat they need to enlist at the same time and tell you want the buddy program just cause you at your basic and ait together don’t guarantee the same Duty station unless you in the program

Yes you can, my roommate and one of his childhood best friends went to OSUT with me and we’re in the same company now.
