Does Infantry Squad Leader time from the Marines count towards the Squad Leader requirement for SFC 11B?

I am a prior service Marine with 9 years of service as a Marine Infantryman. I have heard conflicting answers as to whether or not my Squad leader time will count. I have recently scanned and uploaded all of my FitReps (Marine NCOERs) into iperms in order to reflect my time as a Squad Leader. If it does count, should I write a letter to the President of the board to draw their attention to my squad Leader time, or will they be able to see the FitReps in iperms? Any and all replies will be greatly appreciated, thank you.
