Got a school date for May, and just trying to find out what to expect, i.e...curriculum, living quarters, class plan. Everyone I've talked haven't gone recently within the last year or so, so they couldn't shine any light on it for me. Thanks!

The general trend for SLC, regardless of MOS, is a mixture of garrison leadership stuff and - 30level MOS tasks. Expect a MOS flavored research paper, conducting PRT to standard, Conduct open ranks inspection, (sometimes done in SLC, but more seem to be doing it in ALC)., and troop movement.

I recently went through the 68W ALC at Ft Sam last Oct.We were told that the ALC course was changing to more writing and stuff. The DL part is part of your GPA so take it seriously. We stayed at the IHG on post, single man rooms. Lots of leadership opportunities.

Normally it is held in Fort Lee, VA. That is unexpected also.

The Ordanance Corps has training sites across the country. They teach MOS and related professional development courses.
RTS-M: Regional Training Site – Maintenance.
The classes are run by the National Guard and all the instructors are instructor qualified and the sites are inspected by the Ordanance School on a regular basis. I was a guest instructor at the RTSM at FT Bragg.

My guess this is where you are heading.
