The DCC comes and goes. They restarted it again several months ago and I was one of the last BOLC classes that didn't have to attend so I can't give much insight into that aspect. BOLC isn't too bad. It's pretty low threat and won't exactly push your intellectual capacity, if you catch my drift. You're in the classroom for pretty much the first 5 weeks or so. Then you do a few weeks "in the field". The field time is also pretty low threat. The living conditions aren't exactly rough at Camp Bullis. Hard floor tents with climate control, showers, and hot chow at least once a day. You also come home on the weekends. It's a piece of cake. More than anything it's a test of patience.

Dcc is mandatory if you direct comissioned after jan. If prior service i dont think they make you do dcc.

Bolc as mentioned before its not bad at all. Just embrace the suck on the class room portion. Bullis wasnt bad , at least with my group there wasnt that much downtime

You do have to do DCC even if prior service, I was I for 10+ years and got out at a SSG, I still have to do DCC.
