Sorry for the double post, accidentally posted the initial one as an update.

Is it possible to still PCS while on a temporary profile for a TBI? I talked to my chain of command and they said its up to the docs, however I thought HRC were the ones that dealt with report date adjustments?

SGT Myer,
From my brief research I found this: In order to PCS you must be IAW with AR 600-9 and pass a APFT. This can be overlooked if you have a profile.
If you have a profile, you can PCS so long as you’re not in a 3 status for your PULHES (ie 223111 should disqualify you).
If you are not trying to PCS, you can request stabilization (unlikely since you’re on orders), ask for a change in assignment (unlikely since you’re on orders), plead for family reasons (senior in high school, EFMP, Etc), or sign a declination of orders statement (career ender to be quite frank).
This was only what I found in my quick research on the topic. I hope it helped and I hope the more senior and experienced NCOs/Officers can provide further assistance,

Very Respectfully,

PFC Perry

SFC (Join to see) I thought you had 30 days after coming up on orders to sign a DCS (DA 4911) Form? Am I mistaken SFC Hobbs?

Yes that is true but it also depends on the report date. What happens if you sign a DCS and you receive assignment instructions to another location?SGT (Join to see)

The REALITY about all this it all depends on your Chain of Command and how fast they can act before you can react. While OCONUS as a 1SG for multiple reasons I reported some people within BN CoC to the IG. As expected I was black listed. Few months later while on leave I broke my shoulder in an accident. When I went back to OCONUS my DEROS had been change and I was on order to PCS within a month and flow up w a deployment. Remember I was the 1SG. So my CSM told me that unless doc determine within days that I need it surgery I would PCS and follow e orders to deploy. I did with a sling holding my arm. As soon I got to next duty station I was harrased to get ready to deploy. I laugh internally. Six months going thru 3 different Docs who recommended me to Med Ret I was able to get a Army Doc to get me back to 80%. As soon surgery was complete and I return to work still on recovery started to get emails from BNFWD to provide dates as soon as possible for deployment. This was within a month. Still on recovery still on Temp Profile. They were willing somehow to assign a Soldier to help me carry my bags to OCONUS FWD AO. It was a none sense battle with arrogant toxic leadership mentality who never met me before. But having the reputation of TAKING CARE OF SOLDIERS sometimes is not welcome by many people. I never refused to deploy always asked to get me the time to recover. But the intent was to cause further injury an forced me to do what they expected me to do in the first place. Med Ret. Because they knew my work ethics and they got cut. Long story short, lol as soon I fully recovered I was never on permanent profile, requests to deploy were never granted, instead they assigned me to an adm job. I passed every PT test all 3 events until I retired.
So, yes Reg Says one thing. But all depends on the complete picture.
